Blue Heron: We Are Often Harbingers of Spirit

Blue Herons have always fascinated me! They are so majestic. They spend most of their waking time hunting which they are able to do night and day because their eyes are specially adapted for night vision as well. They live a long time for a wild bird, up to 15 years.

When I connected with Blue Heron, I first spoke with a representative of their species then with a live bird here on earth. I was quite surprised at just how large they are when the first one walked into my office!

Representative of Species:

Hello, my friends! We are happy to be represented among the animals on Lacey's site. We are happy to exist alongside man! We love our lives. We frequently are seen alone along the edges of bodies of water for that is where we hunt. We do not roam together for it does not suit our lifestyle. We have had to fight to stay alongside some of our habitats as they have shrunk but we are among some of the luckiest species. We are revered and noticed. We have many who fight their fellow man to be sure we have room to coexist. Don't think this has not been noticed. We feel privileged.

We are often harbingers of Spirit. As you look upon Cardinal for messages, so we are moved by Spirit as well! I have a feeling many of your readers may be surprised by this. We love our relationship with man. Should Spirit come to us and ask us to help them to connect, we are happy to do so! We quickly make ourselves available and appear to their loved one. I tell you this so that you will notice when we are around. Notice if you have not been feeling loneliness for your loved one. No, we will not always be bringing you a message from them but quite frequently we are. Otherwise, we are very happy to move silently in your world, on the edge, doing our thing.

I was thrilled that our living Blue Heron was from our own Lake Granbury here in Texas!

How happy I am to be here today! We have experienced great rains here in Granbury and it has turned a once struggling habitat into a happier and healthier one! It is wondrous when our Mother Earth is nourished like this. It changes everything for those of us who rely solely upon her.

I am happy to live where I am. I am happy to be in a place that has plenty of room for me to hunt and fish. I am happy to be where I have few predators. I guess that you can see I lead a very blessed life.

I am aware you have spoken with my Species Representative. I am glad that they have conveyed who we are and how we can help you. We do love our fellow man. We do love sharing this great planet with you.

This is an ongoing series on my blog. I speak with domesticated animals on a very regular basis. Each time I speak with a wild animal, I am humbled, truly humbled, by their dignity and grace.
