Bongo: We Bring Glory to God

Have you ever wondered what an animal was thinking? I am blessed to connect with not only pets but wild animals as well. All animals have souls and it is amazing to speak with undomesticated animals!

Bongos are Africa's largest antelope species. There are two species of Bongo and both are threatened. They are both from Africa. The Mountain Bongo (the one that I spoke with that was alive) is feared to have less than 100 in the wild. They can get up to a little over 8' tall and 480 pounds. They are prized in trophy hunts.

I spoke with a representative of the Bongo collective itself (all species have a representative) then I spoke with the Bongo who lives in a wildlife park near me. I am sharing their message here because it is important for you to understand the dignity of each animal.

Collective:

One of the primary reasons our species is here is to bring glory to God. We are majestic for a reason. Did you not stop to look at us? Did you not wonder? Although we are considered to be of the gazelle family, there is nothing frail about us! You people think of gazelles as spindly and weak. It is the Bongos' job to remind you to stop automatically judging by appearance. Yes, we are still prey for large predators but our purpose is for more. We are true reminders of our Creator's majesty. Words are no longer important when you gaze upon us. Feel our majesty. It is important that you know and understand that what you consider as a low link on the food chain of nature still has the capacity for great strength, honor and virtue. Any human who is on a Light path will feel our spirit. We will resonate with you. You will not think of us as gazelles but will instead see us as equals for we are that. You yourself are even in the food chain. We are your reminders. We are fierce animals with mighty souls. Our markings and our size reflect that. Next time you think man is superior, remember us.

Individual:

I have to be confident to be able to survive in my environment. I live in the Fossil Rim Wildlife Center. This is not my idea of the perfect place but it is critically important for the survival of my species. I am limited here in my field of range but I am thankful I am protected for my species' sake. I am not afraid to be on the open plain of my homeland. I am sacrificing this life for my species. I know you see me for the Spirit that I am. You understand my need for freedom. I need not speak more.

This is an ongoing series on my blog. I speak with domesticated animals on a very regular basis. Each time I speak with a wild animal, I am humbled, truly humbled, by their dignity and grace. We are so blessed to share this planet with them. Please help me to help them to spread their messages. Please share this post!

Should you be interested, I have spoken with many wild animals and insects. A comprehensive index with links to individual blog posts is here.

Until next time.....
